Teachers for Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL)
This could be two positions but more beneficial for the teacher if it is one position.
I am looking for a teacher that is used to making lesson plans and knows how to teach so that most of the learning is in the classroom. Therefore, the student has little to no homework.
The student is at elementary level Spanish. Meaning that the student can read books using simple Spanish language, can write one-page summaries and stories, and can make simple sentences in Spanish but they may not always be correct. The student is at infant level in ASL.
Spanish Teacher Qualifications:
-Lesson plan experience
-Have taken actual Spanish Classes
-Is fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and listening in both English and Spanish
-Effective in implementing multi-modal teaching techniques
-Has experience working with children and families as a teacher
-Easy going
-Can have appropriate conversations with a graduate student in their early 30s
Compensation:
-4 hours per week
-$15/hour. 1 hour prep time + 2 hours on phone + 1 hour in person (Note: the student cannot be taught more than 1.5 hours on the same day)

ASL Teacher Qualifications:
-Lesson plan experience
-Have taken actual ASL Classes
-Are fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and listening in both English and ASL (fluent in signing)
-Effective in implementing multi-modal teaching techniques
-Has experience working with children and families as a teacher
-Easy going
-Can have appropriate conversations with a graduate student in their early 30s
Compensation:
-4 hours/week
-$15/hour. 1 hour prep time + 2 hours on Skype possible+ 1 hour in person (Note: the student cannot be taught more than 1.5 hours on the same day)
-Flexible schedule
The successful teacher will be paid through Younique Consulting, an educational consulting firm. Continued work is contingent on performance and available students; therefore, you will be contracted on a month-to-month basis.
