2016 marks the 12th year of teacher recognition and a new partnership for the WALK OF HEARTS® Foundation with The Village at Westfield Topanga. 

With this sponsorship, remarkable teachers will be honored in annual induction ceremonies in the coming years.  The first celebration, honoring 5 outstanding teachers and a partner in education, is scheduled for June 12, 2016.

The 2016 Walk of Hearts inductees are:

Robert Carrelli, Chatsworth High School

Arden Kay, Superior Street Elementary School

Mark Johnsen, Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies

Ed Shevick, Portola Jr. High;

Dr. Wendy Wooten, Chatsworth High School, HighTech LA, Reseda Science Magnet

2016 Celebration Details

Please join us at a community celebration honoring all previous WALK OF HEARTS® recipients and inducting the 5 outstanding teachers and partner in education into their own Walk of Fame for Exceptional Educators.

WHEN – Sunday, June 12th at 10:00am

WHERE – The Village at Westfield Topanga, 21800 Victory Blvd.  In the Crate & Barrel Parking Lot next to Costco, entrance on Victory Blvd.

Following the celebration, please join us for a reception, at the Rose Goldwater Community Center, and celebrate exceptional educators that change the lives of their students every day.

The Rose Goldwater Community Center is located on the northeast corner of Westfield Topanga, at the Vanowen Street and Owensmouth Avenue intersection.
