Typically the first Saturday in December until the first Saturday after New Year's Day. Lights shine 6 PM – 10 PM until Christmas. Drive through, or enjoy a stroll.
The intersection of Lubao Avenue and Oxnard Street (by Pierce College) in Woodland Hills — an eight-square-block area transformed each year into Candy Cane Lane with a celebration of lights, figures, and artificial snow.
People drive slowly down the street with their headlights dimmed so that everyone can enjoy the lights. The closest freeway exit is Winnetka, off the 101.
From the 101 freeway in the west San Fernando Valley, exit at Winnetka Avenue. Drive north on Winnetka Ave; just across from Pierce College, turn right on Oxnard Street. If there is a traffic jam, try parking and walking in.
Candy Cane Lane has been a tradition in Woodland Hills since 1952, and the residents have tried to outdo each other with their light displays every year. Santa has been seen posing for photos with children — and some of Santa's elves have been spotted roaming the lane.
