The following are positions taken by the Woodland Hills~Tarzana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
2. The Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce Supports Chamber Member TriStar Realty Group’s Development of the Tarzana Medical Building at 18131 Ventura Blvd (Old Michael’s location) plans are to construct a 112,492 sq. ft. building consisting of 108,294 sq. ft. for medical office & 4,198 sq. ft. for medical retail with the required 558 parking space. The Woodland Hills Tarzana Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors takes positions on issues affecting local businesses. If the Government Affairs Committee has made a recommendation on the issue, it is presented to the Board of Directors. Board members hold a discussion and pose questions or concerns about the issue. After discussion is held, a resolution is proposed to the Board and after being seconded, it goes to vote. A quorum must be present. The following are positions taken by the Woodland Hills~Tarzana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. 1. The Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce Opposes the LAPD move to change rules calling for caesura for 30 day of vehicles driven by unlicensed drivers. Further, it was added that we call on the LAPD to follow state law on unlicensed drivers. 2. The Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce Supports a ban on Oversized Vehicle Overnight Parking restriction. The City of Los Angeles should ban overnight parking of commercial and camper vehicles more than 30 feet in length with the following provisions: a. Alternative, off street parking is made available. b. That a location be found where amenities can be provided. (12/2012). 3. The Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce Supports SB 1374. "Good Faith Reliance on Administrative Regulation" bill, which provides: that any person who relies upon a written administrative regulation, order, ruling, approval, interpretation, practice, or enforcement policy of a state agency shall not be liable or subject to punishment for a violation of a civil statute or regulation in a judicial or administrative proceeding if the person pleads and proves to the trier of fact that, at the time the alleged act or omission occurred, the person was acting in good faith and in conformity with, and in reliance on, an applicable state agency’s written administrative regulation, order, ruling, approval, interpretation, practice, or enforcement policy. 4. The Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce Supports: AB 2043 (Wagner; R-Irvine) Increases Class Action Fairness — Helps prevent meritless class actions by allowing defendants an equal right to appeal a court order granting certification of a class. The Woodland Hills Tarzana Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors takes positions on issues affecting local businesses.
