Hello Ms. Davis,

Sometime back I took your class at Conejo Valley Adult school for 40+ job seekers. I had dealt with a job termination, a wrongful termination, when I was a whistle blower as a nurse reporting unsafe practices of a health care provider. It was truly hard to obtain a new job and then on top of that being 40+. I wanted you to know that I applied everything you talked about and have obtained a really nice job, as a vocational nurse, with the Pleasant Valley School District.

It's hard looking for a job not only because of age, but so much is wanted for so little pay and often no one gets back to you. I provided Pleasant Valley with 3 written letters of recommendation, one being from a doctor I worked with at the clinic I was terminated. He felt it was unfair and offered help. Pleasant Valley took my letters and felt they were enough. Pleasant Valley gave me intelligent interviews plus got back to me. Overall, I reach an organization that is respectful but I feel I was able to grab their attention from what I learned from your class.

Thank you for your assistance. I tell colleagues about your classes all the time.

Sandra Carlson, LVN, and happy to be 40+.
