Wellness Resource Network
The Wellness Network brings together professionals/businesses with varied backgrounds to network,
learn new skills, and build relationships. This network is in place to provide leads, referrals and share
knowledge for professional and personal development. This group helps people create wellness in all
areas, body, mind, spirit, finances and business. Our motto is “if we can help enough people get what
they want we can get what we want” and in light of that we want the members to commit to getting to
know others, to referring to members and helping each grow our business. This isn’t a social group but
a group to get our core genius out to more people and achieve our goals.

COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
Community Benefit Foundation:
The Woodland Hills~Tarzana Chamber of Commerce Community Benefit Foundation, incorporated in 2011, is an extension of the West Valley~Warner Center Chamber of Commerce. This foundation was created to further the Chamber's mission. This foundation has a 501 C3 Charitable Nonprofit status that was created to strengthen our ability to raise funds. These funds will benefit our foundation's effort to educate our business community and to offer educational events and programs to the children within our community. The beautification funds will be used to increase desirability of the areas in which our businesses are and where the employees and families of these businesses work, live and play.

Beautification:
The Woodland Hills-Tarzana Chamber of Commerce’s Beautification Committee works on improving business districts within the Woodland Hills-Tarzana area through alliances with the City of Los Angeles, local homeowners groups, and other government entities. They participate in Anti-graffiti projects and on Clean-Up days. We also arrange recycling and donation opportunities. The beautification funds are used to increase desirability of the areas in which our businesses are and where the employees and families of these businesses work, live and play.

Education:
The Education Committee has a vision to create a better place to learn and work for our community through collaborative efforts with business, community and educators. The Education Committee plans and facilitates important programs annually. We have Adult Business Education such as workshops and more. In addition we take the lead on educating the community at large concerning legislative issues.

Ambassador Committee:
The ambassadors’ goal is to increase our membership and retention. Welcome members at all of our monthly events. They can easily be recognized by their Ambassador Badge and by their presence throughout the room for each event. They are wonderful relationship builders with the people in our community. Ambassadors also attend Ribbon-Cutting ceremonies for our new member businesses. Most importantly, Ambassadors are cognizant of letting non-member businesses in the community the importance of being involved in their local chamber of commerce.

Grow membership through creating, enhancing, and demonstrating the benefits of the Woodland Hills~Tarzana Chamber of Commerce to new and existing members and build increased awareness of the Chamber's significance in the community.

Legislative Committee:
The Legislative Committee meets on a monthly basis to review pending legislation that impacts our local business and resident community. Positions taken are communicated to our local elected officials and to our membership. We also send delegates to United Chambers of Commerce’s Government Affairs, BizFed and other local political organization meetings that are relevant to our business community while representing the West Valley Warner Center Chamber of Commerce.

Special Events includes Marketing and Programs:
The Marketing and Programs committee strives to enhance the image of the Chamber and increase Internal and External awareness of Chamber to the membership and business community through Marketing and PR efforts. It is the job of the marketing committee to keep our media list up to date.
The Marketing Committee’s Mission is to:
~increase membership through effective marketing of the chamber.
~increase event attendance through various methods of media and distribution.
~increase marketing opportunities for members as a benefit.
~market each committee’s programs to give the program momentum and legs.

Membership Appreciation Gala:
This committee plans our annual Installation Dinner and Dance. The incoming Board of Directors is installed in a brief ceremony; while the Chamber and local government officials thank both the incoming and outgoing Boards. The evening typically includes dinner, dancing, music, live entertainment and a silent and live auction. Participating on the committee affords an opportunity to network with other members in a smaller group setting while working toward a common goal.

Wine Tasting Event
The West Valley~Warner Center Chamber of Commerce provides an evening of wine tasting. Where our members have the opportunity to sponsor tables to pour wine and network or just be a guest at the event. We bring in different wines from all over the world. All members of the chamber and the community are invited to this event.
