El Camino Real Charter High School (ECRCHS) is a public secondary school located in Woodland Hills, California. Founded in 1969, ECRCHS became a charter school in 2011. ECRCHS has been recognized as a California Distinguished School since 2009.
The mission of El Camino Real Charter High School is to educate our diverse student body by developing students� talents and skills so they will succeed in a changing world, value and respect themselves and others, and make a positive contribution to our global society.
Accomplishments:
The school�s Academic Decathlon team has won 10 state titles and seven national titles, a national record. The 2010 national champion team was honored by President Obama at the White House. ECRCHS celebrated its most recent national victory in April 2014.
Our robotics team brings together students interested in engineering, technology, and computer science to design and construct robots. Our team holds one world championship title and four national championship titles. The team was awarded two California state championship titles in 2014.
ECRCHS boasts a well-respected program in communication and the arts: our students won seven medals at the 2014 National High School Journalism Convention, and were invited to the very selective National Film Festival for Talented Youth. Also in 2014, two senior filmmakers won second place in the Student Film Division of the prestigious Los Angeles International New Wave Film Festival.
