We are the largest non-profit dedicated to ending Alzheimer's disease in the country. Our programs are funded by donations, grants, and the five local Walks in the Los Angeles area. Our mission is "to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enchance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health."
We have bilingual programs for those with the disease, caregivers, we support research, have a 24/7 hotline to call, have a trial match program, educate the public, and advocate in Sacramento and Washington, D.C.
Accomplishments:
The Alzheimer's Association helped the President and Congress formulate a national plan for supporting Alzheimer's research and those affected with the disease.
