Valley Women's Center is a non-profit agency partially funded by the L.A. County Alcohol and Drug Program Administration, and modest fees and donations. Help for the woman alcoholic is the premise on which the non-profit Valley Women's Center was founded. The Center offers individual, couples and family counseling in English, Spanish, Farsi and Russian for concerns related to personal, family and marital conflict, incest, depression and emotional eating. In addition, we offer support groups for the chemically dependent and their families, treatment for co-dependency, parenting, and other women's issues. We have sober socials to support the efforts of those in recovery, prevention, education and referral services.
The Center services clients who struggle with domestic violence. These victims are offered individual counseling, support groups and domestic violence education classes and life skills training. Our goal is to empower and motivate clients to overcome barriers so they can make effective choices that lead to productive and healthy lifestyles. Clients are encouraged to become resourceful and are offered interventions that will increase self-esteem and address obstacles that appear overwhelming.
Our outreach, education, evaluations and referral services are free to the community. Fees for individual, couples, family and group counseling are based on a sliding scale; $30 for an initial consultation.
Our professional staff, generous Board of Directors and cherished volunteers all contribute to the success of our community-based programs. Our therapists are licensed professionals, doctoral candidates or advanced M.F.T. interns or trainees and certified substance abuse counselors. Doctoral candidates and interns/trainees are supervised by a licensed clinical psychologist.

Are you questioning your use of alcohol or other drugs? Or are you concerned about a loved one? A chemically dependent person is anyone whose drinking and drug use interferes with family relationships, social and professional life, or health and well-being. Addiction is a non-discriminating disease that affects men and women of all ages, races and religions and at all socio-economic and educational levels.
The Valley Women's Center provides low-cost outpatient treatment in English, Spanish, Farsi and Russian for women and their family members at risk for alcohol, drugs, domastic violence and other threats to family stability. Sessions are scheduled by appointment after an initial evaluation by an experienced therapist. Fees are based on a sliding scale. We offer individual, family and couples counseling, and the following group therapies:
