Description Submitted:
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have rescheduled our Native Plants Fair to Saturday, Feb. 18. This will be the absolute final date, rain or shine. If the weather is cooperative, it will be a full-scale, fun-filled event with live music featuring the teen jazz quartet 12-Gauge Wire, folk-rock artist Craig Lincoln, and the classic mellow rock band Europa, performing a catalogue of hits from such icons as The Beatles, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan and many other favorites. The event will also feature vegan food vendors, plant sales and giveaways, watercolor workshops, planting stations, free expert landscaping advice, educational talks, and information booths hosted by our native plant partners, including: The Santa Monica Mountains Fund, California Native Plants Society, Tree People, Theodore Payne Foundation, Tataviam Land Conservancy, Friends of the LA River, Resource Conservation District and Metropolitan Water District. There will also be representatives from the Tarzana Neighborhood Council and our local city councilmembers' offices. We'll see you soon – rain or shine!
