Did you know that 30–40% of the food that we produce in the US ends up in the trash? And 53% of that food is being wasted in our own homes! Food waste accounts for 6% of the global greenhouse gas emissions. Finding new ways to reduce food waste makes a big difference, for our planet and for us!
Here’s the best part: research shows that there loads of phytochemicals and nutrients in foods that typically go to waste, such as banana peels, radish greens, and cauliflower stalks.
Join us for a fun and informative workshop: “Upcycling Food Waste” and learn some easy recipes that you can make at home while reducing food waste and making the most out of your monthly grocery bill.
Ticket price includes a signed copy of Chef Ale’s cookbook. Coffee, tea, and mimosas will be provided.
This workshop is hosted in the gourmet chef’s kitchen in a private residence in Woodland Hills. Address will be provided upon confirmed reservation.
