About the Presenter: Alison Bristow is a curious philosopher and explorer at heart, teaching from a place of continuous learning and discovery. She integrates yoga, meditation, and sound therapy into her work—modalities that serve as pathways to greater self-awareness. Alison believes that with self-awareness, harmony naturally emerges: what is not resonant falls away, and dormant potential is awakened.
Her offerings reflect this philosophy, making her a better fit for those seeking a "work-IN" rather than a traditional workout. Alison has been on a journey of spiritual inquiry for as long as she can remember. Her yoga practice began in New York City in the late 1990s, and she transitioned to teaching in 2009. Over the years, she has studied under many gifted teachers and systems, weaving their teachings into her unique methodology.
A significant portion of Alison’s work involves leading mindfulness-based groups in addiction treatment settings and teaching yoga and meditation to diverse clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area. With a background in performing arts, psychology, and both Eastern and Western spirituality, Alison’s self-study has been extensive and deeply personal. Recently, she returned to academia to pursue a Master’s Degree in Mental Health and Wellness, further deepening her understanding and ability to support others on their journeys.
