Two aspects that make our school a special place: |
At the "Best Little School In The Valley" we enjoy a small population with an advanced approach to learning. By assessing each student's abilities, they are able to be placed into appropriate-paced classes in their grade. Additionally, our focus on community is not lost on our students. Learning together and knowing their peer and their families is a great motivator! |
How will this cash grant directly benefit the students at your school? |
During the summer when our valley temperatures soar, there are few places students can go to escape the heat. Our aspiration would be to add book benches, places where children could read during recess and lunch. Community contributors would be able to add a dedication for our community to see as well. |
What are the biggest challenges in running your school, and how will you overcome them? |
Our challenges right now are in funding three vital programs to our school - our library, technology and PE. We are without a librarian and therefore a library at our school. Children do not have access to the library. Second, we pay for a computer teacher to come twice a week to teach in the computer lab. Finally, our PE program we fund is another financial challenge. We hold several fundraisers and we so are engaging our parent community in soliciting their support. |
